Portuguese Railways, CP, have chosen IN-MOVE by Railgrup associate Integral Design and Development to design the new restaurant cars of the Intercidades fleet, which the Portuguese operator plans to modernize with a concept more functional than the current one.

The project, on which Integral Design will work with local companies, will make it possible to integrate new components and equipment into the cars, such as accessible toilets or elevators to facilitate access to the train to people with reduced mobility.

After remodelling the vehicles, the level of comfort of the service will improve and will generate a solutions library scalable to other typology of vehicles, thus reducing investments to be carried out by CP. Integral Design and Development is a design and industrial engineering company specialized in the railway sector that is located at Cornellá de Llobregat, Barcelona.
